Breakfast Committee Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate the annual Women Achievers Against the Odds Breakfast event
- Support sponsorship outreach, sell journal ads and tickets to the event
- Support program planning and securing honorees
- Support advance and “day of” logistics and publicity

Marketing Committee Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee WFLI activities related to communications, marketing, and public relations
- Seek out and coordinate opportunities for WFLI presentations to potential donors and partners
- Provide input and guidance as WFLI develops more sophisticated technology-based communications tools including website development, e-blasts, social networking efforts (Facebook, LinkedIn), etc.
- Help publicize WFLI grants, programs, and events
- Provide expertise on innovative marketing and communications strategies to help WFLI reach as broad and diverse an audience as possible

Grant Review Committee Responsibilities:
- Help with outreach to prospective grantees and current grantees
- Conduct a fair, ethical, transparent, and thorough review of all grant applicants to select grantees for each grant cycle
- Support grant fundraising
- Support grantmaking outreach and publicity
- Serve as “grants ambassadors” for the WFLI throughout Long Island

Our internship program provides valuable office experience in a non-profit environment, while fostering confidence and expanding the skill-sets of Long Island college and high school students.
