Join the “Circle of 99s”* and Help the Women & Girls of Long Island Soar!

The Circle of 99s is an initiative of the Women’s Fund of Long Island to encourage and develop women philanthropic leaders. As a Circle of 99s member, you will be part of a diverse community of women making a difference for other Long Island women. This giving circle is open to all Long Island women interested in leveraging their financial, social, and intellectual assets to bring about long-term social change.

Members are asked to make an annual donation of $1,099 or more.

$1,000 will support the women and girls of Long Island today through our grantmaking, advocacy, and education programs, and $99 will support future generations, by funding an endowment to create a more permanent source of support for these critical philanthropic efforts. Your annual donation may be paid $92 monthly or $275 quarterly via credit card or in a lump-sum payment of $1099.

In addition to the rewards of giving, benefits of membership in the Circle of 99s include:

• Access to special events, discussion groups, and other unique opportunities to explore philanthropy, grantmaking, and social change right here on Long Island
• Opportunities to connect with causes you care about deeply
• Opportunities to connect with other generous women through network of like-minded advocates working to make a difference for women and girls
• Informative e-blast updates directly from the Fund’s Executive Director, Laurel Parker West

*On November 2, 1929, a group of women pilots met in an airplane hangar in Valley Stream, Long Island to create the first organization exclusively for women pilots.  Its first president was Amelia Earhart, who presided over the group’s 99 founding members.

Today, the “Ninety-Nines” has grown to over 7,000 worldwide! It is from these women that the Women’s Fund of Long Island’s Circle of 99s takes its inspiration.
